Intrusion
A first-person multiplayer horror game in Unity. Kids defend a house against an intruder.
What it is
A first-person multiplayer horror game in Unity. One side plays the kids, who defend a house. The other side plays the intruder. The inspiration was Dead by Daylight, Rainbow Six Siege and Home Alone.
I worked on it from May 2023 to January 2024: 181 commits and about 16,600 lines of C#. The repo is private.
How it works
- Networking. Netcode for GameObjects, with Unity Relay and Lobby. Players do not need to open ports.
- Health. Health is a network variable on each player, so all clients see the same value.
- Weapons. Each weapon is an item with a primary and a secondary action. Cooldown weapons and ammunition weapons share one base class. The weapons include a baseball bat, a crowbar, a knife and revolvers.
- Inventory. An inventory manager adds, removes and equips items for each player.
I drew the design of these systems before I wrote them:
